Z Axis mapping not working


running slack 9.1. adjusted XF86Config to include z axis mapping everything was fine. then i went to dropline gnome, i use the same @#$%% config file but it no longer works what gives?

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "auto"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

Try Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2", instead of auto

"imps/2" didn't work, anymore ideas?

I'm pretty sure "IMPS/2" needs to be all capitalized.

Dropline uses xorg rather than Xfree. Try altering the xorg.conf file instead.
Also, IMPS/2 does need to be all caps.

also try adding:

Option "Buttons" "5"

i think thats needed...at least it is for mine

This should do it....

Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "Emulate3Button" "off"
Option "Buttons" "5"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Resolution" "256"

IF it helps maybe ya can check out "affero"...
