I did not find a 'remove' or 'uninstall' command in this. Is it possible to remove a package along with its dependencies (not needed by any other package) using this (or any other) package manager? If there is a way to find orphaned libraries, one can remove the main package, then find orphaned libaries and remove them manually.

There is none, as written in the first post of this thread.

Just for the record: /bin/sbin seems more adequate for those tools for me (there are not accessible neither useful as a 'simple user')...

Cheers.

That is what Willy plan to do in the next major release.

if you think sqg is stable enough, I can consider to include it on main package on the next release
I have been using it and it's stable enough for me
sqg is a wonderful tool. It has helped many times. it does not do dependencies and never was designed to do that. It relies on the authors of the maintainers to correctly have the required field done correctly. It is a tool that I use often. I use it on the latest git -current to see what it is the difference. again it relies on the author who maintain it. My point of view and only mine. Even though I use it I have many modified ques.
But sqg is an essential for sbopkg.
In the slackware world sometimes just the basic requirements are not enough. Do your home work. visit the developers git hub wiki etc etc and look at the true goal of the program then set your tools up to build it.
Happy slacking.

sbotools will do this for you for things from SBo. That is, if you use `sboremove` to remove a package it will try to find any dependencies it has that will be orphaned and ask if you'd like to remove those too.

I am finding that 'usm -u alien' command is taking a very long time. Other repositories update quickly. The url is:
Code:
$ cat mirrors-alien.txt
# List of alien Slackware mirrors
# Structure: $VER/$ARCH

# NETHERLANDS
http://taper.alienbase.nl/mirrors/people/alien/sbrepos
The above url loads quickly in the browser. What could be the problem?
