Xorg system default font?

I've been using the Eclipse Java IDE and I don't like some of the fonts it uses. The problem is that some of its menus use the "System Font", and according to the documentation they can't be changed via Eclipse settings. I am not sure what the default system font for Xorg is and how to change it. Whatever the system font is it is very small and annoying. Any help here?

It's called fixed. Look in the <your_fontdir>/misc/fonts.alias file
One of the first lines will say something like:
"fixed medium-r-normal-*-*-*-14-*-*-*-*-isoblabla"
change that to your liking.

Thanks for the reply. I actually found out though that Eclipse uses GTK under Linux and as a result the system font that the Eclipse manual was talking about is the global GTK2 font. I was able to change the font in Eclipse by editing my .gtkrc-2.0 file in my home directory.
