sir i've downloaded everything that i dont have.. hmmm.. the .bz2 file and the .tar.gz file are both archive files right? so that i means i could just download one or the other am i right sir?
hehehe.. sori just got used to calling sir.. im still working on it.. theres a lot of packages.. im on the first package compiz-bcop hope everything will work fine..
done restarting x and it appears the effects still doesnt work.. i even tried restarting my computer.. when i checked my pkgtool i saw all the packages i've installed..
Is fusion-icon running? You should get an icon similar to this in your system tray: http://blogs.sun.com/erwann/resource/fusion-icon.png and it should have an option to switch between different window managers installed on your system. If fusion-icon isn't running, start it by running 'fusion-icon &' in a terminal and then try using the icon to switch to compiz.

sir adam there's a note on the readme file of the compiz where the fusion-icon is optional.. and i dont have the fusion-icon source..
is there a command which i can start my compiz without installing fusion-icon? and if theres none where can i find fusion-icon source?
