Xine in current NOT playing wmv

There is a problem with xine media player on Slackware-current with wmv files.
I have downloaded codecs package from mplayerhq and extracted them in /usr/lib/win32

This have worked with slackware's xine for some time but now in current with xine-lib-1.1.2 it errors out with message: A problem occur while loading library or decoder wmvdmod.dll and The stream xxxx.wmv use an unsupported codec: Video Codec: MS WMV 8 ( Win32 ) ( WMV32 ) Start Playback Anyway <Yes> <No>

Downgrading to the xine-lib-1.0.2 will make wmv's playable again.

Anyone knowing if xine-lib is broken or have found similar behaviour?

EDIT: SOLVED> New xine somehow asumed codecs directory is /usr/lib/codecs

Its working for me. my codecs dir is /usr/lib/codecs try making a symlink or change your config to point to the right directory.

As you mentioned in your edit, the default is /usr/lib/codecs. Note though that you can change this by editing the line "decoder.external.win32_codecs_path" in ~/.xine/config
