It is a program that displays the attractors of certain dynamical systems. You can use it to check the structure of these sets for certain parameter values. This has no theoretical use of course, a computer generated picture with limited precision does not prove anything, but it may give ideas (to be honest, I don't know of anyone seriously using such software for this purpose). It is at least some nice eye candy
