There's a lot of crap that doesn't translate very well across cultures.

In the US, you wave your fist around with your thumb extended to indicate that you'd like to hitch a ride. In other places, that's the FU gesture.

You normally tailor the message to the intended receiver. Ponce's receiver indicated that he's in the US and (presumably) speaks english, American dialect.

I'm personally quite neutral about Drakeo's tits. In fact this is the first time I've ever really contemplated Drakeo's tits. In my opinion, Drakeo's tits have been completely blown up out of proportion.

Nope. The Italians do not make jokes about tits. Is in instinct. Specially about men's tits, or they are dead, literally, that's WHY I consider that ponce deliberately insulted Drakeo.
But he isn't saying it to a guy on Italian South. He is saying it to someone who, according to their LQ profile, is in Urbana IL, which is in the US (not Italy). Maybe Matteo has a better grasp of American English than you and was trying to convey exactly what Americans would perceive "calm your tits" meant.

The ok american gesture here in Brazil is like giving someone the finger totally the opposite meaning.
If Drakeo Darth Vader thinks that some insult has happened then he can report the post.

Apart from the fact that I have no idea what Darth Vader is talking about (and I don't think he knows what he's talking about either), those two English phrases are completely different in connotation, usage and meaning.

This is resolved seems it could have been my error or on their side just not sure. But redid the same steps and all is good waits for my New Shiny DVD . Life is to short for drama. This problem was fixed in 20 min the Slackware team jumped on it. And I double triple checked it was updated this time. then they confirmed for me.
could have been me why not.
Oh Ponce go be good we all love you.

Thanks, ponce. For some reason I never heard that before. Of course, I will need to remember not to use that with the wife.

Vader, calm your.. self I can't say I've ever heard the phrase "calm your tits" before, but in English it would be a mildly vulgar way of saying "relax". It was also pretty obviously in response to all the "wtf" in the original post.

However, "Calm your tits" is a PG 13 saying. If you are under the age of 13 please use the following:
- "soothe your boobs"
- "de-stress your breasts"
- "undo the calamity that is in your mammaries"
- "adjust your bust before it combusts"
you do not use such sayings in reality in the US, or do you?
is this Hip Hop street slang with a portion of humor?

Darth.... That may well be IN PERSON but in text form nobody is going to die and text sans tone of voice and body language is notoriously misinterpreted.

Personally I think everyone in the world needs to "grow the fuck up" and leave the medieval notion that words in and of themselves have power, in that ancient age. It should have disappeared with the invention of the printing press and near universal literacy Shazam!. It sincerely cracks me up that some people go crazy over someone saying, for example "shit" but "merde" or "crap" or "poo-poo" is perfectly fine. I find this incredibly childish and only exceeded by pronouncing "garbage" with the accent on the last syllable and with a softer "g" as if somehow pretending it is French makes it acceptable to a "noble" English-speaking crowd. It borders on racism or class/culture denigration.

Just FTR as an American I did not interpret "calm your tits" as a definite, direct insult though an emoticon smilie may have added to clarity of intent. People, especially in the ever-growing Global Village Melting Pot, "need to chill" and not be so quick to take offense, especially in a text-only environment. That is a solution that really works with "grown ass men" since a single misplaced letter or typo can change an innocent intent into utter silliness or vicious slur when plugged into translation software. Presumption of innocence or even nobility, breeds peacefulness and congeniality and sometimes even a smile or laughter.

Best Wishes and Good Fortune to you, cousin

No, that portion in there was only used as humor. In general, calm your tits isn't frequently used except as a joking way to tell someone to calm down. The others in that link would almost never be used except for a further joke on calm your tits (jokeception).

That's why I always ask others to speak formal. Strangely, non-natives are more eager to use slang phrases.
