Wrong kernel version in Slackware-12.0?

Hello,

Though it is given that Slackware-12.0 comes with kernel-2.6.21.5-smp as default, when I do uname -a it shows as kernel-2.6.21.3.

Is there anything seriously wrong?

Anand

Yes.
Either you got an unofficial ISO image with the wrong kernels on it, or you upgraded incorrectly, or various other things are possible. If this is a fresh installation, then most likely the first is it.
