That sounds quite interesting. Would you provide a link, please? You have a LOT of content out there and search engines apparently don't have algorithms for "awesome"
Just FYI.
For many years I've been running an "electronic dictionary" in WINE. IIRC, it was made to run in win95. Up through WINE 6.1, it has ran perfectly, well, without the pronunciation function, but otherwise as it should. After installing 6.12, it would open, but I could no longer type in the 'search box, so, therefore, it became worthless. After reverting to WINE 6.1, the dictionary went back to what passes for "normal" operation.
Again, just FYI.
Thanks for all the heavy lifting you do for Slackware.
You don't mention which application this is but you may want to open a bug report at Wine HQ.
Thank you Eric. I didn't know because I had always used Dugan's script. However I did find it in a websearch today with a longer string of variables. Installed without a hitch and works great. Much obliged.
Can someone explain why clang is being called? I'm not seeing it in the script. Does part of the WINE build process invoke it now? (I usually start up the build overnight, or while cooking dinner.)
Distribution: Slackware64-current with "True Multilib" and KDE4Town.

I just posted more detailed information on their forum.
Years ago they were very helpful trying to get another application to run with WINE, so I'm sure they will respond when they can.

Nope. It would (AFAIK) only happen if he'd set CC=clang.
Well that's odd since I made no changes other than adding specific version to sidestep the "add 1" weirdness to 6x. I just figured it might be because your latest script wasn't specific to Slackware. I do hope you at least check out v15 when it's finalized and I'm thankful and gals you still visit the "old homestead" now and again. V15 is looking to be a stellar release.
