Well if it helps I had strange issues with wine before, because of nvidia driver updates.
Now that the drivers are legacy no longer updated, and I only use 32bit wine v3 it usually works ok.
What used to happen was that I had to reinstall mesa and xorg, compile wine, and only then install driver.
Installing driver first, compiling wine on top, and upgrading driver after that would cause wine to break.
Usually nothing critical, but it'd sometimes misbehave in unexpected ways.
When you compile wine, it's linked to installed version of GLX from what I can tell.
I only mention this because I see you're active in nvidia thread and there was an update recently.
