Have you checked you spam filters? You should definitely be seeing slackware-security activity since March.

Latest post on slackware-securiy ws July 27, updates to bind for Slackware 12.0, 12.1, 12.2, 13.0, 13.1,
13.37, and -current .

I agree, I don't think I've ever received a e-mail from slackware-announce other than subscription confirmation.

The last message I got from slackware-announce was on 04/27/2011 for the release of 13.37. I suppose when Slackware 14 is officially released there will be a new mail.

As NyteOwl mentions, last message on slackware-security was on 07/27/2012, regarding bind updates.

This is funny, I've never really thought of this, but I too have never received mail from slackware. (gmail) I didn't even know /current is 14 beta. I'm sure I signed up a couple of times over the years.

You won't be informed of Beta versions through the mailing lists. If you want to be informed about Slackware's development you need to follow the ChangeLot.txt: http://www.slackware.com/changelog/c...php?cpu=x86_64 .

As for security announcements, if you are subscribed to "slackware-security" you should have received several this year: http://www.slackware.com/lists/archi...ecurity&y=2012 . Check your Gmail spamfolder.

There is no mail from slackware in my hotmail junk folder, and there are some other mails

around 7/27/2012. So i really hadn't received slackware-security.

Hello,
I received an email from security@slackware.com on July 27th for bind with the subject: [slackware-security] bind (SSA:2012-209-01)

It definitely works.

Cheers,
Grischuna
