Or do the headers and modules come with the full 2.6.7 tarball downloaded from kernel.org? Or do they have nothing at all to do with kernel 2.6.7 so I don't need to worry about them?

Right, I
advise you get these packages as per the security advisory:
ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/slackware-current/testing/packages/linux-2.6.6/kernel-generic-2.6.6-i486-5.tgz
ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/slackware-current/testing/packages/linux-2.6.6/kernel-headers-2.6.6-i386-3.tgz
This will give you a slackware kernel to fall back on. (There is no modules is there?)
BUT you do NOT need them if you are COMPILING 2.6.7
The compiled kernel will have everything you need.
If I'm not clear (or plain wrong) please ask / correct! :)
Other wise good luck!
