used to use fluxbox 0.9.x, now using Openbox 3.2. Using emacs for my coding, aterm for most other work, and endeavour2 if I feel like I need a gui for my filehandling stuff .

Fluxbox, with lots and lots of entries in ~/.fluxbox/keys. My mouse has developed abandonment issues.

I had been using Gnome, and while my Pentium III 800 Mhz with 256 MB of RAM could handle it, it was a little too slow for my taste.

I gave xfce a try, and after a little bit of configuring (very easy) I now have a setup that feels faster, and provides me with all the functionality that I want.

Here's a screenshot (1280x1024) for anyone who cares -- xfce, xffm (file manager), mozilla, gaim, gimp, gkrellm, and transparent aterm.

I tried XFCE today and while I mostly like it a lot, there are some little things missing that I need. The option to keep a window on top, for example. Anyway, my computer isnt that slow xp1600+ w/ 512 ram, so the only thing that really seems faster to me is the startup of XFCE. So I use KDE because I like all of the little extras.

Gnome (mostly), Enlightenment, fluxbox (sometimes). Yes, there are more people who like enlightenment. I discovered enlightenment a short time ago, and it's really great: I love the looks and themeing most, and yet it's usefull and quite lightweight. But I think I need a better graphics card if I really want to see nice effects (my graphics card really sucks, I got it second hand for free). And I miss a window-bar: I sometimes can't find my apps back .

Hey, some users did cheat, they indicated their window manager 2 times.

Im using evilwm, bash & detach. It is borderless therefore giving me FULL screen. It has barley no features but yet very usable.
I do nearly everything in bash but occasionally need to browse net with firefox or a few other Xrelated programs. I just spawn a shell ( bash ) from evilwm (ctrl-alt-enter) and type the program name in.
