VLC crashes after upgrading live555

Hello i have upgraded live555 from the SlackBuilds repository.

VLC starts normally. When i try to open an mpegts.stream i get the error
Code:
bash-4.3$ vlc
VLC media player 2.2.4 Weatherwax (revision 2.2.3-37-g888b7e89)
[00000000023142e8] core libvlc:
[00007f8af804bd88] core demux error: corrupt module: /usr/lib64/vlc/plugins/access/liblive555_plugin.so
(segfault)
and the player crashes.
My version of live555 is
Code:
live555-2016.11.03-x86_64-1_SBo

Could you leave a copy of the file that's giving trouble in a downloadable location? I just tested with TS example files from:
http://dveo.com/downloads/TS-sample-files/
and they both play fine here using vlc-2.2.4-x86_64 built with live555-2016.11.03-x86_64 from SBo.

Have you tried rebuilding VLC? Maybe it needs to be built against the newer live555 version.

This is the reason wgy my own VLC package has all these library dependencies built-in - I incorporated 55 additional source tarballs into my VLC package. The problem with so many dependencies: the program that depends on it is easily broken when you upgrade to a binary incompatible support library. When you compile them all statically into the package, then external changes in system libraries have no effect.
Ubuntu forums are full of this kind of multimedia related breakage. Which is why even on Ubuntu, my vlc.SlackBuild was the inspiration for a static package.

Hi
i removed the SBo version of VLC, that i had and installed the Alien version of it located here.
Then another weird thing happened.
Accessing directly the stream
Code:
http://31.13.218.108:1935/live/mpegts.stream
via VLC returns
Code:
bash-4.3$ vlc
VLC media player 2.2.4 Weatherwax (revision 2.2.3-37-g888b7e89)
[0000000000a672e8] core libvlc:
libva info: VA-API version 0.38.1
libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib64/dri/i965_drv_video.so
libva info: Found init function __vaDriverInit_0_38
libva info: va_openDriver() returns 0
[00007f61bcc2d3f8] avcodec decoder: Using OpenGL/VAAPI backend for VDPAU for hardware decoding.
vlc: i965_decoder_utils.c:963: intel_decoder_check_avc_parameter: Failed the check of true - 'pic_param->CurrPic.picture_id == decode_state->current_render_target'.
and the player crashes.
I had the possibility to open that stream before. When i attempted to record the stream, the output file was .mp4

If i start it via livestreamer
Code:
livestreamer hlsvariant://http://31.13.218.108:1935/live/mpegts.stream/playlist.m3u8 best
the stream gets opened and the record file is .ts.

I would like to be able again to open directly the stream from the player itself and not via livestreamer.

Running:
Code:
vlc http://31.13.218.108:1935/live/mpegts.stream/playlist.m3u8
has been working fine here for last 2-3 minutes now, using SBo version.
