virtualbox anda slackware

Hello everyone,
This is my first post, but it is just a question, I was wondering how to install the slackware distro in virtualbox, I have no problem installing it on computers, but in virtualization it generates so many errors to the point of installing it will not be possible to run it, will there be a specific slackware distro to virtualize / if so what would it be?
I appreciate if anyone can help
Thank you very much

Can you elaborate more on the errors? I've setup Slackware a few times in Virtual Box from the 14.2 ISO image and it works just fine as long as you do the install with sane options.

Okay so just to 'clarify' and sort of explain:

Say you have 1 disk (/dev/sda) when you run cfdisk ('cfdisk /dev/sda') you will create two partitions - make one smaller partition and then designate its 'type' as linux swap, and one larger partition to be /. You have to use the arrow keys to navigate the menu options at the bottom of the screen in cfdisk. You also have to have created enough space on your virtual disk to allow all of this to happen - 32GB would be a good choice unless you know you're going to install a lot of additional software beyond the base install (which specifies 9+ GB free) or need to pull a lot of data into this VM or whatever (you know your requirements there better than I), and then create 2-4GB for swap ('oldschool' is 2x system RAM but I've seen plenty of OOB Ubuntu installs that default to 2GB and never have problems to figure that's probably also a sane option these days). Once you've done that you have to send the 'write' command to cfdisk (again, on the bottom menu). Then run the 'setup' application from the slackware installer (after you exist cfdisk) and run its addswap - it should automagically see the new swap partition(s) and run makeswap on them and everything else, and then you can continue with setup.

Something is strange there. You should be able to use VirtualBox default settings and get a working 14.2 VM. I spin them up routinely. As a test, I might

- give the VM a 30G fixed drive
- boot the vm with the 14.2 iso
- use cfdisk on /dev/sda to make a boot partition fat32 of 512MB (i think cfdisk calls in Windows FAT32) and set the bootable flag to on
- the VM always calls it SDA in my experience
- make a 2G partition and set type to swap
- make the rest a Linux filesystem
- write the config to disk
- run setup and let the installer do the rest

Remember to install lilo at the prompt. There should be zero errors, and if there are, please post them.

These aren't perfect settings, just functional.
