using esound daemon or not?

hi, im sitting and reinstalling slackware 10.0 and thinking if i should have esound daemon or not in the installation.

whats esound for can i skip it ? or should i have it? i have an soundblaster live 5.1 and using gnome as window manager.

If you are using gnome you probably want it.
