usb

hey people,

I had to recompile my kernel (2.6.0) to have usb support (I recently got a digital camera, canon a60, the first usb thing), but I can.t get it to work... my camera just doesn.t show up in /proc/bus/usb/devices...
I included /var/log/messages, dmesg, and /proc/bus/usb/devices

I.m running slackware 9.0 and kernel 2.6.0...

thanks in advance...
rogier

/var/log/messages

Check in /var/log/syslog for the message "modprobe: Can't locate module block-major-8". If you've got it, you've got the same issue I have here (no solution yet).
