hi
1- i installed glib-2.0 and afterwards glib-2.2.12. the programs i am installing need glib-2.2.12 but when i am compiling, only glib-2.0 is found. how do i uninstall glib-2.0.?
How did you install the libraries? With installpkg or by compiling them?
If with installpkg then I'd "removepkg glib" and then reinstall using installpkg.
If the libraries are compiled and you have the source directories then often "make uninstall" will work.
Or, have a look at "ldconfig -p | grep glib-2" and/or "ls -al `locate glib-2 | grep so`".
NB: All commands except the last one should be run as root without the ""; the last command uses the backtick ` which is next to number 1 (one) on my keyboard.
where do i do the "make uninstall"?
what are the source directories - if it is the tar.gz file, then i have it.
if not, where are the source files located at?
thanks
