I haven't bothered trying to compile tightvnc for a couple of years now (I had problems with it I couldn't resolve). I'm using the 1.3.8 package from http://www.linuxpackages.net/search_...=tightvnc&ver= - there's also a 1.3.9 package if nobody here can answer your question...

gdxpm.c:147: error: old-style parameter declarations in prototyped function definition
/usr/include/X11/Xlib.h:3571: error: parameter name omitted
gdxpm.c:147: error: expected '{' at end of input

I will try to compile with GCC 3.4.6 (Slack 11 has it and I could compile tightVNC) if it doesn't work will try the package.

Can't compile the GCC

The tightVNC package seems to be working perfectly.

If someone finds the solution to the problem with compiling, please, post here.
