I'm giving Gnome 41 a test run on Slackware 15.0. Everything is running alright so far!

Here's some screenshots of poking around with my current setup

I just realized we didn't post our screen customized configs for a while now?

Also users who use tmux please chime in (i used screen and tmux alongside each other for while, and after that interchangeably)

Can't wait the fallout

Here's mine. I used to use tmux, but then I ran into some problem with it on one of my work machines (can't remember what it was anymore) and switched to screen. I prefer screen now. Going further back, I used a tiling WM for awhile, but I eventually realized that screen/tmux take care of 90% of my tiling needs and are better in some ways, since you can easily copy and paste from one window to another with only the keyboard.

My ~/.screenrc is pretty simple. It basically just changes some keybindings and adds a simple status bar.

Using screen was somehow more straight forward, but tmux has one more option in tiling IIRC that lured me into trying it out.

Can't make up to stay exclusive with either so far - and the fact that neither use same escape sequences ain't helping either...

Also the status line makes a world of difference - a clock, pwd and hostname means a lot at moments...

You can customize the escape sequence in both tmux and screen. I have that in my ~/.screenrc posted above, but here is the relevant line again:

Code:
escape ^Bb

Have had a few manky weeks with my MS being a right pig, so have only been playing with GIMP and photos from the i/net plus constantly fiddling with Activities as it's easy-peasy.

Here's another great pic off the internet with a brightness/contrast change to suit my desktop as I like it.

I hope this is OK to post here but the thread doesn't specify Slackware_X86 so hopefully people will enjoy seeing the incredible work Stuart Winter and Team are up to - FULL Slackware64 Current on an ARM SBC. My total cost was ~$139 USD and it's smooooth.

Note: Cost depends on what junk you have lying around. I have an old Dual Bay eSATA Drive enclosure I re-purposed so case and PSU were reclaimed expense. I am adding a bit to the cost since it works so well I'm getting a 4-port SATA PCIe card for NFS or NAS.

Latest KDE with Full Wayland, on a RockPro64, running SlackwareAarch64-current. This is my daily driver. I use the NAS case from Pine64 with the dual SATA PCIe express card from Pine64, and two Kingston 120GB SSDs in RAID1 configuration.

Nice mralk3. Daily driver? Oh yeah I believe it. IIRC the RockPro64 is basically the same hardware as the PinebookPro.

Humbling, I am yet to saddle my FriendlyElec NanoPC T4 with the latest Slackware - hopefully aarm64 one too.

BTW, mralk3, I truly didn't mean to slight you by indirectly referring to you as 'the Team". As I said I'm very new to SBCs and had only come into contact with Stuart until last night. Thank you for all your great work on AArch64 Slackware. It's VERY solid.
