The 5.11 kernel is noticeably faster. I did not install the package, I rebuilt it with the supplied config and saying yes to ext4 filesystem. I only did it to nullify the initrd. I thought at first that the lack of an initrd made it faster. Not sure, but it sure saved 41 seconds from a cold boot.
Though, I now have trouble with VirtualBox. To get vboxdrv.ko to build, I had to edit vboxnetflt/linux/VBoxNetFlt-linux.c to add "#include <linux/ethtool.h>" after "#include <linux/netdevice.h>". (Reference)
Distribution: Slackware64-current with "True Multilib" and KDE4Town.

Year 2021, Round 14.
Another batch of updates has been scheduled for release on Wednesday, 24 February 2021, at approximately 12:00, GMT. If no problems are found while testing the release candidates, they might be available sometime on Tuesday (depending on your time zone).
5.11.1 built and running on Slackware64-14.2.
Used a modified config from testing on current.
Still had to modify .config to :
# CONFIG_INTEL_IDXD is not set
To get it to build, guess I should research reason.

Then, one of my CPUs is an E3 1225 V2 Xeon with integrated VGA running 3.2 GHz at modest 65W TDP - wonder how much of a difference would that option make on it (non ECC motherboard)?
Unfortunately Bluetooth still doesn't work for me on 5.10.18
inxi:
Code:
Lite-On Atheros AR3012 Bluetooth type: USB driver: btusb
dmesg:
Code:
[ 24.679778] usbcore: registered new interface driver btusb
[ 24.679972] Bluetooth: hci0: don't support firmware rome 0x11020100
This looks relevant, and there may be a related fix here.
I can confirm. I still have to patch manually. At least I'm not alone. I hope they don't take another couple months to fix this. The one you posted was the only one that worked for me and have been using it since I found the patch on the web. All of the revisions did not work. Guess I'll be stuck on 5.11.0....

If you have specific requests for patches to be backported, maybe contact Greg Kroah-Hartman. He recently posted about how people can help with LTS kernels, and one of the things he mentioned was backport requests.
