Patching 5.10.0 source with both rc1 and rc2, and also extracting the 5.11-rc2 tarball. My standard procedure is copy the most recent -current config and accept all defaults on make oldconfig, in addition to building ext4 into the kernel with make menuconfig; then make bzImage, make modules, make modules_install.
I don't need it, was just having fun, and was interested if it was just me. The only other time this has happened, there was a newer kernel released the same day.

make mrproper
Copy .config file.
make oldconfig
make -j8
make modules_install
Distribution: Slackware64-current with "True Multilib" and KDE4Town.

Year 2021, Round 2.
Another batch of updates has been scheduled for release on Saturday, 09 January 2021, at approximately 14:00, GMT. If no problems are found while testing the release candidates, they might be available sometime on Friday (depending on your time zone).
