taglib 1.7

Hello,
I would wanna try to upgrade taglib package to version 1.7. Current Slackware version is at 1.6.3.
The reason is it's being required by Amarok post-2.5.0 from git repository. I want to test something about it.

Is there any quick way to find out what other packages would be broken from this update, so needing a recompile?

or just try and see?

Nope.

Yep.

It's very unlikely that upgrading taglib will break anything.

You could check reverse dependencies on http://gentoo-portage.com or things that may depend on taglib in http://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/taglib (the Required By list) and run ldd or something on these to see if they're broken.
