Tab in vim issue

Hello,

Fresh installed Slackware 15 here.

When I open vim, press slash / and start to type a command, I expected the command to complete pressing <TAB>.

It doesn't work: on the command line, I see ^I (see the attachment).

This issue append on real hardware, VirtualBox guest, console, X, and ssh.

Thank you for any tip
