Ok well I got libstatgrab up and running, but i need pystatgrab to use my widget. I downloaded the package and tried to run ./setup.py to install it, but I get an error saying that libstatgrab is not isntalled because pkg-config said so. How can I tell pkg-config that libstatgrab is installed?

Code:
./setup.py
Error, libstatgrab is not installed (according to pkg-config).
I see in the readme that I need to set PKG_CONFIG_PATH, but it does not tell me where to put this. Can anyone help?

export PKG_CONFIG_PATH='/dir/to/needed.file'

I think the library you installed was installed with prefix=/usr/local. If you configure it wit --prefix=/usr then the pc file should go under /usr/lib/pkgconfig and all should be fine. It might also be sufficient to copy the relevant pc file from /usr/local/lib/pkgconfig to the one under /usr/lib, but I'm not sure of that.
