SPSS22 segfault after latest --current update

SPSS22 (IBM) for Linux is a stats package I use a few times a week (when I use it). It worked fine a few days ago, but since that time I have updated --current including a new kernel 5.13.12, and it yields a so far cryptic segfault. I haven't gotten around to much debugging yet as I needed to run the program on some data and having done that now, I will proceed to find out more about why it failed with the latest -current.
