Spectacle: error while loading shared libraries: libvpx.so.8

After the latest updates, Spectacle kept showing an error with the libraries, specifically with libvpx.so.8.

Code:
spectacle: error while loading shared libraries: libvpx.so.8: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I solved the issue by creating a symbolic link to libvpx.so.9.0.0.

Code:
sudo ln -s /usr/lib64/libvpx.so.9.0.0 /usr/lib64/libvpx.so.8

Sometimes that works but it's a bit hacky. The proper solution is usually rebuilding the application against the new libraries.

The proper solution is to upgrade ffmpeg.
Code:
Sat Jan 20 21:04:49 UTC 2024
l/ffmpeg-5.1.4-x86_64-3.txz: Rebuilt.
  Recompiled against libvpx-1.14.0.

Strangely, ffmpeg didn't update in my last update, but after updating it, spectacle worked correctly.

Thank you all.

If you use slackpkg+, you might want to check this thread: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...4/#post6478624
There ffmpeg did not upgrade because alien's offerings were both configured in slackpkg+ and blacklisted.
