Unhappy Some UI controls do not load when starting JMETER

Hello,

i am trying to get JMETER 2.11 running on my Slackware 14.1 x64 machine but i am facing problems.
What i did so far:
I downloaded the SlackBuild from http://slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/1...-jmeter.tar.gz
I additionally had to download the source code from https://archive.apache.org/dist/jmet...meter-2.11.tgz.
I finally was able to install the package.
When i tried to start it by runnung jmeter in a console, the applcation started but as some of the controls did not load, it was in fact inoperable (Menu and other stuff was missing). Please see the attached screenshot. I have the following java version:
Code:
bash-4.2$ java -version
java version "1.7.0_51"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.4.6) (Slackware)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.51-b03, mixed mode)
I have the latest Eclipse version from the SlackBuilds repository and it is working fine for me.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Upgrade to the recent java version solved the problem

Hello bosth and thank you for your reply.
I uninstalled the old version of OpenJDK that i had using pkgtool.
Then i went to http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slac...dk/pkg64/14.1/ and downloaded the latest build by AlienBob and installed it with installpkg. After restarting the computer, it all works fine for me.
Now i have:
Code:
bash-4.2$ java -version
java version "1.7.0_75"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.5.4) (Slackware)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.75-b04, mixed mode)
Thanks a lot!
