Interesting.
The default, that I've seen, has always been "Native."
There are two sites I view on a regular basis who tell me my browser isn't supported, if I use the "Native' user agent. One will work anyway, the other won't let me log on. If I change the user agent to "Firefox" and reload the page the site works as it should.
Once, just out of curiosity, while still in the Firefox compatibility mode, I went to,
^ just change the useragent, hazel! it's easy, and i'm 99% sure yahoo will love your palemoon again.
Yay!! I created an override for Yahoo, basing it on existing overrides. It now thinks I have Firefox 52. I can get in and see the updated mail interface. Thanks for the advice.
This the same thing I suggested in post #222.
"... two countries separated by the same language......"
No, that's not the same thing. The option you suggested (and btw it's stored under edit/preferences now) was already set, and it didn't solve this problem. What I have now done is to create a new yahoo-specific user agent string override in the about:config list. There are already a slew of those so I was able to use the existing ones as models.

The version of Pale Moon I'm using is, palemoon-27.7.2-x86_64-1alien.txz.
As you can see from the image posted below, on this version those settings are under "Tools" and from there you can use either "Preferences" or "Options" to get to the same place.
As previously mentioned, when the user agent is set to Firefox compatibility, it is still ID-ed a Pale Moon, but the Firefox compatibility does work with the one site that refuses to work when the user agent is set to the "native" Pale Moon compatibility. I have an old yahoo account. If I can remember the password, I'll give it a go and report back.

I don't know why yours has "preferences" and "options". I use the repackage SlackBuild from SBo and only have "preferences".

Good question, so I looked at the settings and, oops, it is a add-on that moves "edit > preferences" to "Tools > options."
I had forgotten I had installed it. At my age I'm lucky I can remember my name. I get up every morning, look in the mirror and say to myself, "Who is that old fart?"
Resurrected my old yahoo e-mail account. Haven't use it in five years or so, but it works fine in both native and firefox compatibility modes.

The latest uBlock origin works https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases
You could probably ditch adblock latitude since its outdated.
I have been using it since day 1.

I don't like *how* uBlock works. I tried it and I was seeing ads flash on the pages before they were blocked. The advantage to bootstrapping adblockers like Adblock Latitude is that ads (in your lists) will never hit your screen. Also when ads slip through like they do with uBlock you have already been tracked.
And just because the add-on hasn't been updated doesn't mean that it is outdated. The part that matters is the lists.
The next step is to use HOSTS. I have done that before, and is better than an adblocker because it blocks offending stuff system wide. but it is a little more involved, not updated as often, and doesn't cover as much as adblockers.

What is HOSTS ?
Do you mean to 'manually add localhost entries for nasty sites to /etc/hosts' or is there a PlugIn -or- AddOn for PaleMoon called HOSTS ?
