You can use Get Slackware Linux or a LQ ISO Slackware image. Once you have downloaded the ISO image and you are using MS Windows then you can use one of the 'MD5SUM' checkers below to verify a valid download. Then use 'Imgburn' at a low burn rate (setting of 4) to insure a valid burn on your hardware.

Reason: correct link

I couldn't find anything about Nero from you first link, even scrolling to end of page. I just got an introduction to Kali Linux (Lesson 1: installation).
Also, to burn an ISO image from Microsoft Windows I would rather recommend:
On Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7: application InfraRecorder that is free and open source (GPL V3)
While I am at it, for people wanting to write the ISO image on an USB stick from Windows: I recommend Rufus that is free and open source.
I remind that the ISO DVD Images for Slackware version 14.1 (32-bit as well as 64-bit) are hybrid: in other words they can be used to make a bootable DVD as well as a bootable USB drive.
I should write that in SlackDocs, but feel free to overtake me.
PS To check the cryptographic hash vales (SHA1 and MD5) on Windows one can also use FCIV from Microsoft.

Reason: Post scriptum added.
Even in the Slackware forum there have been this type of query by new users. Hopefully referring those users to the FAQ link above will help those new members to help us help them. So please refer that link when you feel necessary so we can address the on-going issue with drive by post(s)/threads that sometimes lack information or poorly written.
Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy!

Reason: typo & repair URL
This has nothing to do with me. This is about an 8 yr old, cumbersome thread posing as helpful (sticky) and a mod with a blown fuse.
How so?
UPDATE (so as not to add yet another post)
@certainquirk - So without answering any questions or providing usefull discussion, you continue to troll and stir muck (post 434), baiting others for a response and blaming them, the responses, for the useless posts.
If you just want to pi$$ down someone's back, please find another place to do it, it is absolutely not appreciated here.
Did you post this only to illustrate the growing problem of drive-by posts with no useful content? Please follow and read the helpful link in onebuck's post above.
If you don't want to use Slackware then by all means... go some place else, and good luck. But please refrain from polluting the information sources used by those who do use Slackware, including this very useful and frequently referenced thread...

If you don't like this thread, just rate it accordingly. If you think that onebuck does a bad job as a moderator, tell him directly or to Jeremy: as a forum user I am not in concern. Also, personal attacks are forbidden on LQ, and rightly so.
