+1 to rpenny’s comments. I use wsdd2 fo provide WS-Discovery for my samba hosts, and in KDE at least, Dolphin (20.04.0+) can discover such hosts via this protocol. Great for mixed Windows/Linux environments.

OP, I saw that your new thread was closed. Let's try to solve your problem.

Can you ping the new server from one of the Windows machines?

From a Linux client, what happens when you run:

$ smbclient -L IP_address_of_server -U username
