In fact, you help no one! Because treating the development tree of Slackware as a "rolling release" has no other result than delaying the next release as demonstrated by the last development cycle: more "civilians" are on the development battlefront, more slow this development becomes.

And I think that over 5 years of development for Slackware 15.0 is more than enough. I do not want Slackware 15.1 to be released on year of 2030 because you want a "rolling release" in Slackware - which does not exists, BTW...

So, be gentle and do a favor to everyone: either use the latest stable release of Slackware (yes, there's also GNOME4 for it) or go to a true rolling release distribution, like is openSUSE Tumbleweed.
Thanks for the advice, but I didn't ask for any. Nor was I responding to you. No reason to advertise your distro here, I'm not interested, why are you so rude to everyone? Did someone hurt you? I'm sorry you had to re-install Slackware, maybe SUSE is more your speed?

here's a Q-Tip to clean the tumbleweed out from between your ears.

Thanks, this is the kind of input I was looking for.

Personally, I wouldn't say that... But:

As for me, I can't be bothered with stuff like that. I like being able to just install and use a system with as little change from the defaults as possible... this makes upgrading easier and significantly reduces the time and effort required just to run a system.

Absolutely. I get that, but there seem to be many people who run current for nothing but street cred.

The fact that DistroWatch categorise Slackware-current as a rolling release really gets my goat. It's not.
