Will firefoxESR 38 build on Slackware64-14.1 using the -current source slackbuild?
Yep. I've done it.
Also, I understand that the official policy is to have ESR Firefox in Slackware Stable and non-ESR Firefox in slackware-current. So if you want a non-ESR Firefox, just use the -current SlackBuild to build it.
Just bear in mind that when you replace a genuine package with another one, you have to take care of the security fixes yourself, that is to say: stay informed of new or patched versions and do the rebuild (in case of using -current's packages) or re-run ruario's script (if you follow that way) as need be.
