Smile slackware update -experience

Hello!
Want to share my yesterday \ today impressions with slackware64 14.0 update.

sorry for my bad english

After i installed slack64 14.0 i have no update it, except one time openssl libs due problems with sendmail, and about week or so ago - about a hole with glibc.

I have a small server with some sites on joomla 2.5, last wordpress, mail server, fileserver on samba,raid1 system on two discs (linux software raid),webmail ( openwebmail), and something else, not sure aboout all

and yesterday i run slackpkg update & slackpkg upgrade-all.
it is not wise thing, i know, especially, i do not examine closely, what packages is there for update, but sometimes i do bit impulsive things.

in time, when there is do upgrade, i see, there is sendmail, samba, perl, php, httpd, mysql, and also a kernel!
in that etap i be sure, something go wrong in result, but now is too late. i write down that packages, and do in mind, i must reconfigure and rerun lilo, and before that, i must build init.
after upgrade is done, i do this, restart computer, and be surprised - almost all working without any additional work from my side!
very impressed! download and install nvidia drivers,
check - my web work well, mail also work. only problem who is detected so far is with openwebmail - and even that is mostly because at end of upgrade process i choose overwrite old comnfigs with new, and for strange cache mode in web browsers - mozilla, seamonkey, chrome. but that problem i also looks like solved today about at midday, as so i very happy and impressed

Even though new packages are not added very often to the stable branch of 14.0 it is also a good idea to run slackpkg install-new once in a while. Pat does on occasion add new stuff to stable, it is rare, but, it sometimes happens.
