slackware security updates

Using slackware current
When I install security updates using
Code:
upgradepkg foo.tgz
They will be downgraded again if I use
Code:
slackpkg update
slackpkg check-updates
slackpkg install-new
slackpkg upgrade-all
So I blacklist these packages in
/etc/slackpkg/blacklist

Is this a good idea, or are there other possibilities?
Since they are blacklisted, they won't get upgraded again, until I whitelist them.

I don't see the logic of this, but probably I'm missing something here.

Thank you

It may be the mirror you are using is a little behind with updates.

Thank you for your answer.
I changed the mirror to one in the USA, and now there are a ton of updates, and no more downgrades :-)
The mirror in Belgium is far behind.
Does anyone know a good up to date mirror in Europe?
