Slackware default MTA?

Is Postfix now the preferred MTA or is it still Sendmail for vanilla Slackware installs?

Ultimately it's entirely up to you, but in 15.0 it looks like postfix is installed by default. sendmail has been moved to extra/. Both are available, but if by 'default' you mean whatever is present after a normal full installation, then postfix.

From the changelog, 2017 (so relatively early in the Slackware 15.0 development marathon):

Code:
Fri Nov 17 00:56:25 UTC 2017
...
n/dovecot-2.2.33.2-i586-1.txz: Added.
This will be the new IMAP/POP3 server in the next Slackware release.
Thanks to Alan Hicks, Mario Preksavec, and /dev/rob0 for assistance.
...
n/postfix-3.2.4-i586-1.txz: Added.
This will be the default MTA in the next Slackware release. Thanks to
Alan Hicks, Mario Preksavec, and /dev/rob0 for assistance.
...
n/sendmail-8.15.2-i586-2.txz: Removed.
  Moved to /extra.
...
extra/sendmail/sendmail-8.15.2-i586-2.txz: Added.
Moved here from the N series. This is still a solid choice for an MTA, and
probably the most flexible (although it can be difficult to configure - it
has been said that the M4 macro language resembles line noise).
Thanks to Eric Allman and everyone at Sendmail for all the years of work.
