Getting the following error when building the new kernel. i searched somewhere that the error means broken gcc. anyone successful in building the latest kernel?

CC mm/vmalloc.o
mm/vmalloc.c: In function `__vmalloc_area_node':
mm/vmalloc.c:446: internal compiler error: in final_scan_insn, at final.c:1790
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <URL:> for instructions.
make[1]: *** [mm/vmalloc.o] Error 1
make: *** [mm] Error 2

[solved] slackware-current + kernel

turns out my glibc packages weren't updated to -current. once updated, recompiled kernel and all went well.
