Slackware 8.1

Just tried to install slackware, but just when i loaded basic.i (install kernel) it had somekind of error message relating to keyboard time out, i tried two keyboards (ps/2) but both had the same error. Any solutions?

Got the keyboard to work (just had to use kernel which supported USB, even though it's my mouse which uses USB)

I'm running into the same problem. Which one is it that supports USB keyboard?

Snocked: Usually the usb.i kernel provides keyboard and mouse support.

Havox: I think the kernel was probably bare.i the default kernel for the slack install CD. But you have a PS/2 keyboard and the kernel would not use it? But the keyboard worked with the usb.i kernel? Could you provide a brief system description please?
