Yeah - I've already complained about this more than once in more than one place (including Pat) - fvwm doesn't pay attention to --docdir. Also, while I haven't tested the package, I bet it still complains on startup about the nonsense with the fvwm-menu-directory being hardcoded into the builtin menu which triggers whether you use the builtin menu or not and complains about a 'root menu' not being found. Cool that it's included now, though.
I gather one or both of these things will be fixed in a little while, though. I patch it (delete a line) to fix the builtin menu but I doubt Pat would want to do that. But the docdir cleanup needs to happen in the SlackBuild at least for now.
The first mention of grues in the Zork games is the following ominous line:
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
Further investigation will reveal more about their nature:
> what is a grue?
The grue is a sinister, lurking presence in the dark places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.
A grue, indeed. HA! Grues were the least of my worries back then. The all-nighters playing those games w/ pizza, soda, and many packs of Marlboro were taking more of a toll than the grues were. Fun times, though. Yeeesh! I was a young whipper-snapper back then, too... just 22 years old or so.
