Slackware 13.0 with Sendmail and SMTP AUTH
First, I have read the Slackware SMTP Auth Howto in this forum and had it working perfectly in Slackware-12.2.
I recently did a clean install of 13.0 and have everything working but SMTP Auth. Best I can figure at this point is sendmail is not handing off authentication to saslauthd. My email client keeps getting prompted for the username/password, which is never accepted. I have run saslauthd with the -d switch for verbose debugging and there is no activity during this process.
I can correctly run
testsaslauthd -u username -p password
and get Success.
My config files are identical to the ones used on SW 12.2.
I have tried using the stock sendmail-slackware-tls-sasl.cf (modified for my cert) with the same results.
/usr/lib/sasl2/Sendmail.conf exists and contains:
pwcheck_method: saslauthd
mech_list: LOGIN PLAIN
Anyone else see this issue with 13.0?
