Did you request an IP address? Try running (as root) dhcpcd wlan0 and then check in your ifconfig output if you've gotten an IP address.
That only works if your pedicure is less than two weeks old........
Seriously, check your ifconfig output, I'm guessing that you don't have an IP address.

When I'm in KDE and access the "control center" "network settings" I can see a wlan0 interface but it is disabled and it won't let me enable it. When I access the "network settings" I also have to choose Slackware 10.2 to open it.
I have tried manually assigning it an IP address and played with the rc.wireless.conf and rc.inet1.conf but haven't been able to get anywhere with it. Any ideas on where I should look next?
