Slackware 10 to 10.1

I currently have Slackware 10 CDs and was wondering if downloading the 10.1 ISOs and reninstalling would be the same as reinstalling 10.0 and then using Slaptget or Swaret to update. I really don't want to waste 3 more CDs. Do you recommend Slaptget or Swaret? What other programs are a necessity to install first (such as pkgtool)?

There's no need to upgrade from CD, just grab the packages and upgrade from your harddisk. You can find instructions here: ftp://ftp.scarlet.be/pub/slackware/s....1/UPGRADE.TXT

For the first question, check their page and choose the one you like, it's a matter of taste, both do the same.
Yes, checkinstall is good to have.
