Slackware 10 fluxbox installing artwiz

I am having trouble getting the artwiz fonts to work. I can see them in xfontsel, but they don't work in the wm and don't show up in any apps. Can someone tell me what to do using linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=&postid=815204#post815204 (kovacs' instructions) as a base?

To get them working in flux, you may have to check your fluxbox style file. Sometimes the font declarations are set up weird. For example, I've seen it declared as "artwiz:anorexia" Personally, I always use the full font declaration (as in xfontsel using anorexia):
Code:
-artwiz-anorexia-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
This always seems to work for me without any trouble. I usually dont bother setting a particular pixel or point size since the artwiz fonts generally do not scale.

If you can access the fonts in xfontsel, it seems that they should be installed correctly. kovac's directions are the same as the readme on the artwiz-aleczapka sourceforge page, so it should work. But I've also heard to first run mkfontdir once you've unpacked the fonts. I'm not sure if it's necessary, but if I remember right that's what I did. mkfontdir, fc-cache, then edited xorg.conf and fonts.conf, and restarted. Everything worked fine after that.

Good luck.
