Sounds like Slackware isn't recognizing your keyboard...
i guess your right. it isnt appropriate to ask Fedora core question in this forum but let me give it a try
i have installed Fedora core 7, at login screen the key board and mouse stops working (Number lock light doesnt work and mouse stops responding). the text line keeps on blinking in "Username" section.
i am using PS2 key board and mouse (Wheeled optical mouse).
good one hey but to tell you the truth it doesnt work. any other brilliant ideas
What type of keyb/mouse You have actually?
PS/2 + PS/2
PS/2 + COM (ttyS)
USB + PS/2
PS/2 + USB
USB + USB
or?
Did you try in BIOS the USB legacy on/off ?
PS2+PS2, USB legacy no, please explain what does it do?
USB legacy makes the bios route the USB events to some (63/64?) i/o lines so dos can see a USB keyboard as it where PS/2
;-)
Could You try the 2nd ISO to boot?
or make a boot-floppy from the images therein ?
