slackpkg+ did not list all the packages

Hi all,
I have some problem with slackpkg+
Does anybody can explain me why I cannot see all the packages in a third party repo?
My slackpkgplus.con is:

Code:
SLACKPKGPLUS=on
VERBOSE=1
ALLOW32BIT=on
USEBL=1
WGETOPTS="--timeout=20 --tries=2"
SEARCH_CLOG_INPARENT=on
CACHEUPDATE=off
GREYLIST=on
SENSITIVE_SEARCH=on
WW_FILE_SEARCH=on
SHOWORDER=package
DETAILED_INFO=none
STRICTGPG=on
PKGS_PRIORITY=( multilib restricted alienbob)
TAG_PRIORITY=off
REPOPLUS=( slackpkgplus restricted alienbob multilib )
MIRRORPLUS['multilib']=http://bear.alienbase.nl/mirrors/people/alien/multilib/14.2/
MIRRORPLUS['alienbob']=http://bear.alienbase.nl/mirrors/people/alien/sbrepos/14.2/x86_64/
MIRRORPLUS['restricted']=http://bear.alienbase.nl/mirrors/people/alien/restricted_sbrepos/14.2/x86_64/
MIRRORPLUS['slackpkgplus']=http://slakfinder.org/slackpkg+/
after doing
Code:
slackpkg update
I see the file loaded and parsed
Code:

When I run that command I get more than 400 package matches, showing all available installed, uninstalled and upgradeable packages.

I tested your config as well and the package search for 'alienbob' worked as expected. Your search is only returning the packages in the alienbob repo that are labeled with 'noarch'. I'm not sure why that is the case. Is there anything in your blacklist file?

here the result of the command

Code:
~# slackpkg blacklist

Packages in blacklist:

~#
/etc/slackpkg/blacklist is empty

As for my understanding, I have no blacklist in place

It's was I supposed to see: could be any other configurations I missed that change the behavior?

I'm also seeing 400+ packages from the alienbob repository

What version of slackpkg+ are you using?

This should be what you see.
Code:
# slackpkg help | grep "slackpkg - version"
slackpkg - version 2.83.0 / slackpkg+ 1.7.0
Edit: I see nothing wrong with your slackpkgplus.conf

This is the version came with 14.2, and there is no update in patches
I'll try to install the 2.83 version downloading directly

___EDIT_____
After updating to 2.83, nothing changed

I was wondering whether a strange architecture would make slackpkg only consider "noarch" packages, but if your machine is x64_64 then slackpkg should pick that as the value for the ARCH variable. No explanation then (yet) for the fact that it will only show you the "noarch" packages and not the "x86_64" packages.

SLACKPKGPLUS_alienbob xalan 2.7.1 noarch 1alien xalan-2.7.1-noarch-1alien ./SLACKPKGPLUS_alienbob/xalan tgz
SLACKPKGPLUS_alienbob xerces 2.11.0 noarch 1alien xerces-2.11.0-noarch-1alien ./SLACKPKGPLUS_alienbob/xerces tgz
SLACKPKGPLUS_multilib compat32-tools 3.9 noarch 10alien compat32-tools-3.9-noarch-10alien ./SLACKPKGPLUS_multilib tgz
so the problem is related to the creation of this file, and not in searching
The file SLACKPKGPLUS_alienbob-filelist.gz contain the whole bunch of packages, and not only the few in the list

This is the version came with 14.2, and there is no update in patches
I'll try to install the 2.83 version downloading directly

___EDIT_____
After updating to 2.83, nothing changed
I am using Slackware64-current, you seem to be using Slackware64-14.2, I'd advise you to to put it back to version 2.82.1 that comes with 14.2

Something seems wrong with your database. You can safely delete /var/lib/slackpkg/ and rebuild it as follows:

Code:
# rm -rf /var/lib/slackpkg/
# slackpkg update gpg
# slackpkg update
This "should" fix the issue.

Unfortunately it did not fix the problem

I've tried also to force the ARC to x86_64, but nothing changed

Could be the awk script the did not work correctly parsing PACKAGES.TXT?

Post a 'ls -l /var/lib/slackpkg/', maybe something is messed up there.
