Slack 9.0 question


K, I finished configuring and now I went to compile my kernel and there's no linux folder under /usr/src anyone know where the Makefile is?

There are a lot of ISOs that do not include the kernel source to keep the image small enough to fit on a cd...try going to one of the ftp mirrors, and download/install the kernel source from the /slackware/k directory. You should then be in good shape

would that also be found in the loadlin16c.zip file? I found it strange that it was incuded in the root folder right from startup.

This is the source package you need. Download it then install it (installpkg kernel-source-2.4.20-noarch-5.tgz). Once installed, you can configure and recompile your kernel.

Loadlin has been included in the root directory for as long as I can remember.
