Skype 2.0.0.72 - Anyone hears me after a few minutes.

Hi all,

Friends I've installed Skype, and did download linuxpackages. But I'm with following problem.

Problem:

I talk with my contacts for a few minutes and drop my conversation, anyone hears me. But I can hear my contacts, they don't listen my voice.

Detail when I restart my system it's work. The problem happens agains after a few minutes, anyone hears me.

Configuration:

Slackware 12.1
Skype 2.0.0.72

I'm trying search solution. But without success.

Does someone have an idea?

Thanks

Try disabling ArtsD if you have it enabled (KDE - Sound System - Uncheck Enable or just kill artsd). Chances are that it's starting up to play a sound (like a system beep or something) and killing your sound while it's there.

Hi ledow,

I'm using XFCE. But your tips helped a lot..
First I tried your tips. But return:

#kill -9 artsd_pid

So, I fixed with:
