setting up a slack, apache server with php and a sql server.

Hi.

Iv installed slackware on an old 166mhz computer i want to get it setup as a little webserver. i installed, amongst other things; apache php and sql.

all in all its beginnning quite well the ftp and ssh servers work so i can put the moniter away and hopefully fix it from here.

sql starts at boot but soon quits. i dont know why. there are no errors.

apache doesnt use the php files. do i just need to change some config file settings to fix that? or should i reinstall php.

and how do i add folders to each users homes so that apache serves them up like http://www.somehost.com/~someUser/ ???

cheers.
Ben.

SQL: Read inside /etc/rc.d/rc.mysqld there it tells you how to create the databases which is why MySQL is failing.
PHP & Apache: uncomment Include /etc/apache/mod_php.conf in /etc/apache/httpd.conf . There you can also setup the per user folder.
