Unhappy Second cd-rom not working:P

I am running Slack 9.1 on a P2. I am having problems getting a dvd-rom and a cd-rw to work on my system. They both work standalone with my system with no problems, but when I plug them both in at the same time my system only sees the master drive. The Bios and the Boot "see" the cd-rw and the dvd-rom and they are assigned hdc and hdd. I have searched and couldn't find anything revelant to my problem. If there is a thread for this problem please point me in the right direction(URL), if not any suggestions?

Sincerely,

Danielallan

You need to add an entry in the /etc/fstab file to allow any user to mount the drive. Here is the line you will need to add(I'm assuming your dvd drive is hdd):
Code:
/dev/hdd /mnt/dvd iso9660 noauto,user,ro 0 0
You will also need to create the /mnt/dvd directory.
Code:
mkdir /mnt/dvd
Now any user should be able to mount the dvd drive.
