Hi, i wont to get my scroll mouse working in my slackware 9.1 xf86 4.3.0, but when i added tht zaxe's line thing under input mouse, i exited x and tryed to reenter with it saying no screen found see XXXX line so i "vi" and removed the line so i cud access slackware and the net to foind out wot to do, im totally confuzed on this 1, also im upgrading to a DSL internet and wonted to know wots better USB or Ethernet, internel or externel etc.
Well, using an internal network card, and cat5 cable would probably be best. As for your xf86 issue, sounds like a monitor was deleted from your conf file.
Wot secesh said is exatly wot i did, i entered that under my mouse input. ok the exact error was sumthing to do with the mouse line 287 fatal error no screen found, and when i removed the line again X worked fine.
